About Us

Passionate about eating and sharing healthy, nutritional, gluten free, vegan Indian cuisine.

History

Born in Islington, London. Raised by a very traditional Indian mum (on the right) who cooked the most amazing vegetarian food from scratch. Wasn't always healthy but certainly was delicious!

My siblings and I were very lucky that our mum involved us with everything she made; curries and lots, various rotis, rices dishes, poppadoms in sunny Manchester, pickles, street food, amazing desserts and more...

Me

Hi, I'm Parul, had an amazing career in advertising in my youth and six great years running a campsite in the Lake District. In 2014 I became an entrepreneur, set up my own cleaning business which is thriving but I wanted more. Always been passionate about flavoursome food and cooking, got the bug from my mum, bless her! she was the best cook in the world in my eyes. I love hosting dinner parties and charity dinners. Friends and guest complimented my food, saying that I should set up my own business. So here I am today adding a little twist to my mums recipes and creating my own modern dishes. When I'm not cooking and cleaning I'm enjoying the outdoors.

The Vegan Spice Co

Launched in March 2019, three years on I am proud that I have got this far.

The food I prepare and cook is all about eating healthy, nutritional, gluten free vegan food. Everything is created from scratch including the spice mix. I grow and source as much organic and local ingredients as possible to help us and the environment.

Environment

Dedicated to helping the planet

Our plates, cutlery, take away containers and disposable gloves are all compostable. We bring back the used plates & cutlery from events and compost them ourselves

Most of our vegetables and herbs are home grow and organic or locally sourced.

Catering choices are varied with menus to suit your requirements

Private Chef

Hosting a special lunch or dinner but want to spend time with your guests. We can created a menu to suit everyones needs and we do the dishes at the end!

Dinnerware available for up to 50 guest

Baking

Gluten Free Baking:

Bread, muffins, sweet pancakes, flatbreads, scones, and much more

Take Aways/Meals

Offer a take away service to surrounding villages. All dishes are delivered cold with reheating instruction. Please note that all food must be pre-ordered 48hrs before as I cater from home and I also run another business.

At Wirksworth Farmers Market the 1st Saturday off every month. Stalls just next to the market place car park and opposite Le Mistral.
